Biography

Robert L. Dunkel, Jr., 68 of Rehoboth Beach, DE for the past 10 years, formerly of Stoney Creek, PA, died on Friday, February 5, 2010, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. He was born Friday, November 28, 1941 in Reading, PA, son of the late Robert L. Dunkel, SR and late Hazel (Sauppe) Dunkel.

Bob graduated in 1959 from Mt. Pleasant H.S. in Mt. Pleasant, PA, worked for the US Treasury Dept. in Harrisburg, PA, for 40 years, was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, was a food gourmet and enjoyed everything to do with the seashore, especially Lewes and Rehoboth Beach.

He is survived by an extended family and was predeceased by an infant sister.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 3:30 PM at the Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, with family greeting friends at 3:00 PM. Interment will be at a later date at Epworth Cemetery, Rehoboth Beach.
