Joseph A. Franko

May 29, 1933 - February 20, 2010

Joseph A. Franko, age 76, of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. Mr. Franko was born May 29, 1933 in Painesville, OH, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Molnar) Franko.

Joe relocated to Delaware in 1991. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio where he managed the Cleveland Clinic Hotel. He was a Master Gardener and thoroughly enjoyed life.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, June C. Franko; three daughters: Michele Haag and her husband Robert of Mentor, OH, Mary Rose Schlegel and her husband John of Fairfax, VA and Joanna McQuaid and husband Cormac of Villanova, PA; three step-children; five grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.

There will be no services in Delaware.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Joe's name to theJuvenile Diabetes Foundation, 100 W. 10th Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
