Life Legacy
Anna M. Sayres (nee Imhoff) passed away peacefully January 31, 2010 near her home in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Anna was the loving wife of Elmer G. Sayres and devoted mother to Andrea, Gerald, Donna and Scott.
Anna was born Oct. 29, 1922 in Philadelphia to Eva and Bernard Imhoff. She married then U.S. Navy Lieutenant E.G. Sayres in 1944. They raised their four children in Philadelphia and Broomall, PA before retiring to Rehoboth Beach.
She is preceded in death by her son Gerry and her sister Eva Melwert. She is survived by her husband of 65 years; her daughter Andrea Leche and her husband, Luis, of Maidens, VA; daughter Donna Loughran and her husband, Michael, of Glen Mills, PA; son Scott Sayres and his wife, Jane, of Dallas, TX.
A private service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Anna’s name to St. Edmond’s Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Avenue
